An online experience-sharing seminar of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation and the National Audit Office of the People's Republic of China dedicated to the SAIs’ contribution in combating corruption was held on November 28, 2025.

The parties stressed the importance of SAIs’ participation in preventing abuse and fighting corruption for the implementation of national objectives. They also shared experience of conducting audits and developing methodology to identify the corruption component during the audit.

The experience of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation was presented by the Director of the Department of Public Administration Audit Mr. Aleksei Granovskiy and the Deputy Director of the Department – Head of Inspection Ms. Irina Kartavykh.

The Head of the Division of Department of Human Capital Development, Mr. Nikolay Kruchek, spoke about measures to prevent corruption among civil servants of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation.

The Director of Department of Economic Accountability Audit of National Audit Office of the People's Republic of China Ms. Han Ningyi, highlighted the importance of the activities of the SAI China in combating corruption and auditing economic accountability to strengthen oversight of government agencies.

The Director General of Department of International Cooperation Mr. Jiang Haiying summed up the results of the discussion from the Chinese side. 

During the event, the Russian and Chinese participants discussed the experience of using artificial intelligence in conducting audits and the specifics of the accountability of the auditors.

As a result of the seminar, the parties noted the importance of introducing artificial intelligence technologies into audit activities, as well as deepening and expanding inter-agency cooperation.
