On July 19, a meeting of the INTOSAI Working Group on Financial Modernization and Regulatory Reform (WGFMRR) was held.

During the meeting, the representatives of the US Government Audit Office (US GAO) presented the Member SAIs Survey results on a possible strategy for the further development of the WGFMRR.

In particular, it was proposed to maintain a hybrid format of regular meetings of the Working Group with the active involvement of external speakers from international organizations, research institutes, etc.

In addition, member SAIs representatives agreed on paying special attention to the experience exchange in the field of performance audit of the financial sector, as well as new development factors and risks for the financial sector, in particular, financial technologies and crypto assets.
