On June 24, 2025, supreme audit institutions (SAIs) of the BRICS countries held an experience-sharing online seminar on "Energy Transition as well as related sustainability considerations".

The event was organized by the Federal Court of Accounts of Brazil in the framework of the 2025–2026 BRICS SAIs Work Plan.

SAIs Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India and Indonesia shared their best auditing practices at the seminar. Representatives of the SAIs Iran, UAE, Russia and South Africa also took part in the meeting. The Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation was represented at the event by Mr. Sergey Dudkin, Director of the Department of Procurement and Energy Sector Audit, Mr. Timur Makhmutov, Director of the Department for International and Regional Cooperation, Ms. Natalia Chukardina, Deputy Head of the Inspectorate of the Department of Procurement and Energy Sector Audit, and Department of International and Regional Cooperation’s team.
