The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) presented the report "Innovation Landscape for Smart Electrification".

The publication provides an overview of 100 effective practices for the electrification and decarbonization of industry. According to experts, there is no universal approach to resolving the issue; it is necessary to take into account both the technical and economic specifics of a particular energy system, and the social and cultural characteristics of a single country. An essential condition for the effective transformation of the energy economy is innovation in four areas: technology and infrastructure, market regulation, planning and operation of energy systems, and business models.
