Fuelling Innovation: Closing Fintech Funding Gaps

Fuelling Innovation: Closing Fintech Funding Gaps

The World Economic Forum (WEF) and McKinsey presented a joint report on the development of the FinTech industry.

According to the study, in 2015-2023, the total volume of venture financing in the FinTech market exceeded $350 billion and will reach $400 billion by 2028.

By the end of 2023, 31% of the total investment came from the United States and Canada, 18% each from the European and Asian regions. Countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and North Africa received only 10% of global funding, but showed the highest investment dynamics (annual average growth of up to 35%).

To increase the investment attractiveness of FinTech, experts recommend that governments increase support for public administration digitalization projects, increase the transparency of legal regulation, and pay attention to the development of financial infrastructure.
