Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation. UNECE Regional Report 2024

Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation. UNECE Regional Report 2024

The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) presented a regional overview of trade facilitation and trade promotion measures.

The report is part of a 2023 global study, in which UN experts analyzed the trade policies of 160 countries based on 60 criteria. Compared to the 2021 results, the level of implementation of trade facilitation measures in the UNECE region increased from 76% to 80%. The lowest rates were recorded in the countries of Central Asia and Eastern Europe - 67% and 65%, respectively. The assessment results demonstrate progress in the implementation of anti-crisis trade support measures, stimulation of agricultural trade, support for SMEs and digitalization.
