Asia Bond Monitor – June 2023

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) analyzed the bond market in East Asia.

According to the organization, the value of the region's bonds in national currency increased by 9.1% (compared to 2022) and reached $23.8 trillion at the end of March 2023.

The main growth factor is the new issuance of debt to finance government economic recovery programs.

ADB experts recommend raising the awareness of local investors about climate risks, which can lead to an acceleration of the energy transition process to the region.
