The INTOSAI Working Group on Financial Modernization and Regulatory Reform (WGFMRR) held an online Spring Meeting on April 26th, 2023, with GAO US being the host of the meeting.

The event brought together the members of the Working Group, in particular the SAIs of Canada, China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, the Accounts Chamber of Russian Federation, as well as representatives of the Financial Stability Board (FSB) and the Bank for International Settlements (BIS).

The participants discussed the issues of the use and regulation of crypto assets, as well as the climate-related financial risks. The Group members also agreed on changing the name of the Group to INTOSAI Working Group on Financial and Economic Stability.
