The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has released a new working paper, Going for Growth 2023. As the authors note, global GDP growth prospects in 2023 and 2024 remain weak.

Restoring economic activity and achieving national decarbonization targets will require governments to implement supply-side structural reforms. Key recommendations from the OECD include:

• expanding the coverage of self-employed workers and improving the targeting of social support to increase the economic efficiency of social spending
• reducing administrative barriers to create a competitive environment and attract investment
• development of the vocational education system to increase productivity;
• creation of additional incentives to attract public and private capital to sustainable project
• using the potential of digital transformation
