The Hard Stuff: Navigating The Physical Realities of the Energy Transition
McKinsey presented a working report on energy transition issues.
Experts analyzed the problems and risks of transforming the global energy system. According to the organization's estimates, by 2050 the level of implementation of low-carbon technologies will be 10%. Modernization of energy infrastructure will require solving a number of interrelated problems, including searching for and implementing alternative sources of heat and raw materials, increasing the energy efficiency of buildings and industrial equipment, developing hydrogen energy, building new supply chains and creating infrastructure to support them.
