As part of the implementation of the Regional Project for Strengthening External Control in the Environmental Area OLACEFS published "Environmental Governance: Special Edition COVID-19".

The publication collects initiatives developed by the SAI of Brazil, GIZ and OLACEFS in the framework of external environmental monitoring. The material is also aimed at providing methodological support to the SAIs of the region in improving state environmental management and implementing the SDGs.

Among the main topics of the issue are preventing and combating corruption, accelerating digitalization processes, promoting gender equality, assessing the viability of infrastructure projects and specific state support measures during a pandemic.
